No. You're welcome to book just a single night at Ferienhaus Heidefee in Wietzendorf (Lüneburg Heath) — whether as a stopover on the way to the coast or for a short weekend in the Heath.

Just get in touch. From one week onwards, we'll put together an offer of our own — depending on the dates, number of guests and season. Simply message us via the contact form or WhatsApp with your preferred dates and number of guests; we usually reply the same day. The booking calendar always calculates the standard rate, so for a longer stay a quick message is worth it.

Children up to and including 2 years stay free at Ferienhaus Heidefee. Children aged 3 to 8 also stay free in a parent's bed; in their own bed, children aged 3 to 15 pay €14 per night from the 5th guest, guests aged 16 and over pay €19 per night. The base rate of €125 per night covers up to 4 guests. A one-off end-of-stay cleaning fee of €95 per stay applies. Wietzendorf does not charge a local tourist tax.

The easiest way is to pick your dates directly in the booking calendar on our homepage. You're also welcome to message us via the contact form or WhatsApp. Once we've confirmed your booking, you can pay conveniently by bank transfer or PayPal.

For short-notice bookings made less than 14 days before arrival, the full amount is due immediately.

You'll receive detailed key handover instructions by email in good time before your arrival. Handover is usually in person or via a key safe. Please give us a quick call about an hour before you arrive — that way we can welcome you in person and show you everything important straight away.

Check-in from 4:00 PM, check-out by 10:00 AM. If timing ever gets tight, just let us know — we can usually find a solution.

Yes, a free parking space belongs to Ferienhaus Heidefee in Wietzendorf, right at the house.

The nearest train station is Soltau, about 15 km from Ferienhaus Heidefee in Wietzendorf, roughly 20 minutes by car. Hamburg is about 80 km away, Hanover around 70 km. For trips around the Heath, you're often better off by bike than by car.

We take care of the actual cleaning — that's what the end-of-stay cleaning fee is for. We just ask you to do a few small things by 10:00 AM:

• Load the dishwasher with the last dishes and toothbrush cups and switch it on
• Empty the fridge and freezer
• Clean the grill and grill grate
• Empty the kitchen bin and the bathroom waste bin
• Turn the radiator valves to the snowflake/frost symbol
• Close all windows and doors
• Leave the cottage broom-clean

You'll find a broom, dustpan & brush, mop and vacuum cleaner in the house — no need to bring your own. Just drop the key in the white letterbox by our front door — or ring our bell and hand it over in person. You don't need to call ahead for this; that's only useful when you arrive.

Ferienhaus Heidefee in Wietzendorf is licensed for up to 8 people. There are two bedrooms with a double bed (200 × 180 cm), another bedroom with an additional sofa bed (200 × 160 cm), plus a sofa bed in the living area (200 × 160 cm).

Yes, both are included in the price and ready for you on arrival. You don't need to bring anything.

For a relaxed start, we leave a small starter set for you: toilet paper, hand soap, dish soap, plus bin bags and two dishwasher tablets. Think of it as a little welcome package so you don't need to go shopping right after arrival — for the rest of your stay, please bring your own supplies.

The kitchen is fully equipped, with a dishwasher, coffee machine and toaster. Dishes, pots and cutlery for all guests are provided.

Yes, both are available to you in the utility room — handy for longer stays and for holidays with children. An iron, ironing board and a clothes airer are also provided.

Yes, Ferienhaus Heidefee in Wietzendorf has a fibre-optic connection with speeds of up to 400 Mbit/s. Great for home office/workations or streaming too.

Yes, the wood-burning stove in the living area of Ferienhaus Heidefee may be used, and the firewood is free. It's stacked under the small shed to the right as you step out of the house.

At Ferienhaus Heidefee in Wietzendorf, the ground floor is fully step-free. Since the bathroom and a sofa bed are also on that floor, a wheelchair user can stay overnight on the ground floor. The upstairs bedrooms are reached via a staircase. Please get in touch with us before booking — we'll be happy to talk through whether the house suits your needs.

Yes, you can charge e-bikes with us and store them securely. There is, however, no charging point for electric cars.

Yes. A charcoal grill is provided, along with the garden, a sunny balcony, a covered veranda and sun loungers.

Your safety matters to us. The holiday home is equipped with a carbon monoxide detector (particularly because of the wood-burning stove), smoke/fire detectors and fire extinguisher spray. All detectors are checked regularly. If you have any questions about using the wood-burning stove, we're happy to help at any time.

Yes, there are three video-monitored areas on our property: the access from the main road to our private entrance, our back entrance – which you cross on the way to the garden – and the access to the yard on Breite Straße, which you'll normally use to enter and leave the property. The cameras only capture the access path itself in each case. This is solely for property protection and security. Your guest area, the terrace and the interior of the holiday home are not filmed. Clearly visible signs at the property access points indicate the video surveillance. Recording takes place in accordance with GDPR requirements.

Even though we're big animal lovers ourselves, out of consideration for all guests and the property we ask that you don't bring pets to Ferienhaus Heidefee. We appreciate your understanding and wish you a wonderful stay with us.

The cottage is a non-smoking house. You're of course welcome to smoke on the balcony and the veranda.

Yes, Ferienhaus Heidefee in Wietzendorf has quiet hours from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM. We're right in the middle of the village, and the neighbours appreciate a little consideration.

Yes. For children up to around 3 years (max. 15 kg), we can provide a Hauck travel cot on request, for €15 per stay. Please just let us know when booking.

Yes, a high chair is available and provided on request. Just let us know when booking, and it'll be ready for your arrival.

Yes, there's a robotic lawnmower in use in the garden. It doesn't run all the time, but while it's out and about, we ask parents to keep an eye on their children.

Year-round. The heather bloom from early August to mid-September is especially beautiful. But spring and autumn have their own charm too, and hikers and cyclists find great conditions all year. The nearest supermarket is in the village of Wietzendorf, about 600 metres from Ferienhaus Heidefee — an easy walk. So you don't need the car for your first shop.

First of all: the house itself is a good place to be in the rain. The wood-burning stove warms the living area, the covered veranda lets you sit outside and stay dry, and there's a smart TV with Netflix plus a Bluetooth soundbar.
